PUBLIC NOTICE: Proposed Division of Fish & Wildlife Land Acquisitions

Event Description:
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is proposing the use of federal and state funds to acquire five (5) tracts of land. If acquired, these tracts will connect existing property parcels and increase the amount of protected wildlife habitat. The tracts are listed below:
  • 73.23 acres adjacent to Splinter Ridge Fish & Wildlife Area in Switzerland County, (-85.183, 38.729)
  • 522 acres adjacent to Sugar Ridge Fish & Wildlife Area in Pike County, (-87.201190, 38.342666)
  • 37.683 acres adjacent to Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife Area in Pulaski County, (-86.928, 41.135)
  • 32 acres adjacent to Little Pigeon Creek Fish & Wildlife Area in Warrick County, (-87.097759, 38.062506)
  • 221 acres near the Badal Wildlife Conservation Area in Newton County, (-87.210304, 41.102503)

The Division of Fish & Wildlife wishes to solicit comments about any potential impacts to environmental, cultural, and historical resources.
