Learn to Trap: Introduction to Trapping Workshop

Kingsbury Fish & Wildlife Area is teaming up with the National Trappers Association to hold this workshop. This will be a two day event with Day 1 being classroom and field training and Day 2 will be the Trapper Certification test.

Day 1: November 4, 2017- 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
Day 2: November 5, 2017- 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m.

This workshop is designed for Families wanting to learn the basics of trapping. Participants will learn: basic fur-bearer biology, common trap types, and how to traps to target certain animals (raccoons, coyotes, muskrat, and beaver). All traps will be provide for use during the class. Participants must be at least 10 years of age and participants under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch will provide on day 1.
