NWI Storytelling Festival and Ghost Stories, Indiana Dunes State Park

Event Description:
October 19
7:00 p.m. - Stories and Sing Alongs
Join folk musician Luke Nover along with Northwest Indiana Storytellers as they present fun songs and stories this evening at the campground shelter next to campsite #113. Cider and cookies will be provided by the Firends of the Indiana Dunes.

October 20
10:30 a.m. - Stories for Children
The Nature Center Auditorium will come alive with a variety of stories told with puppets and props to enthrall children of all ages.

1:00 p.m. - Storyteller's Favorites
Come to the Nature Center to hear the stories that each storyteller loves to tell over and over.

2:30 p.m. - Stories from Around the World and an Open Mic
Stories will be shared from around the world. Then the floor will be open to any wanting to share their favorite story, poem or song.

5:30 - Ghost Stories
A night of fright awaits you in this open-air concert at the Wilson Shelter. Bring a blanket and a friend to hold on to as this program will feature a collection of spooky tales. Two special story sessions will take place. Children age 7 and under are encouraged to listen to the 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. stories. Stories for youth ages 8 and up will be from 7-8 p.m. Apple cider and snacks available, courtesy of the Friends of Indiana Dunes. This program is free, but donations are accepted.
