Trick-or-Treating (CAMPERS ONLY), Paynetown SRA (Monroe Lake)
Start Date: 10/24/2020Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Date: 10/24/2020End Time: 7:30 PM
Event Description:

TRICK-OR-TREATING IS FOR OUR **CAMPERS** ONLY
NO DAY VISITORS ALLOWED FOR 2020 TRICK-OR-TREATING!
There will be no general community participation allowed for trick-or-treating this year. Proof of overnight camping for the weekend is required for admission to the A-loop campground.

GENERAL INFO

- Trick-or-treating will be permitted only in the A-loop camping area (west of the Campground Gatehouse) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 24.

- Vehicle entrance into the A-loop camping area is prohibited between 5:30 - 7:30 pm to ensure the safety of trick-or-treaters walking campground roads. Due to limited parking, the campground will be reduced to only foot traffic during this time.  No bicycles, scooters or other modes of transportation should be used during the event. No more than ONE (1) vehicle can be at each campsite. Indiana Conservation Officers will assist with ensuring that roads remain free of vehicle traffic.

- All trick-or-treaters and candy distributors must wear masks that cover the nose and mouth. Do not use a costume mask as a substitute for a cloth mask unless it is made of two or more layers of breathable fabric that covers your mouth and nose and doesn’t leave gaps around your face. Instead, consider using a Halloween-themed cloth mask.

- Please social distance between other families, and do not crowd the person handing out candy; allow one child at a time to go up and get treats. Those who are trick-or-treating should carry hand sanitizer and use it often. At a minimum, wash hands or use sanitizer before and after eating candy.

- Please leave alcoholic beverages at your site while walking the campground. This is a family-oriented event – let's keep it that way!

- Anyone who does not feel well, or has a cough, cold or fever should not participate. High risk individuals should not participate as trick-or-treaters or candy distributors.

- Note that if a community or county determines prior to the event that trick-or-treating is not safe, this property will abide by that determination.

RULES FOR CAMPSITES DISTRIBUTING TREATS

- All candy or treats distributed must be pre-packaged (no popcorn popped on-site, no cups of drinks, etc.)

- Please plan to distribute the candy with tongs, by placing it on a table, or use another touchless manner rather than trick-or-treaters reaching into a bowl.

- If you are distributing treats, please wash or sanitize your hands often and keep hand sanitizer available. Gloves are not necessary.

- Candy packaging should be wiped off or left to sit for 24 hours before eating if possible.
