Halloween in the Hills, Brown County State Park
Start Date: 10/24/2020 All Day
End Date: 10/24/2020
Event Description:
October 24th, 2020- Halloween in the Hills @ Brown County State Park

Important Note: All fall festivals and events across DNR are being held using the State’s COVID-19 guidance and precautions, including social distancing, sanitation procedures, safe food service and masks required where applicable. Weekend festivals and individual activities are always SUBJECT TO CHANGE based on the monitoring and management of COVID-19 in the State.

Halloween in the Hills will be a bit different this year. We will still have our campsite decorating contest on Saturday the 24th. You will register your site as you check in and judges will be around after dark to judge your site. We will still have our pumpkin carving contest, you will bring your pumpkin to the Nature Center by 4pm on Saturday so they can be judged and then placed along our Trail to be viewed by everyone.

The big difference this year will be our Trail. There will be no Haunted Trail this year. There will be no Friendly Trail this year. Instead we will sort of combine them and have one big trail from 6pm-9pm starting at the Nature Center. This trial will take place along a closed park road. There will be candy stations along the road as well as Nocturnal Animal stations. You will have a chance to learn more about night time in the state park, get some candy, and spend time with your friends and family. There will be stations like: Stargazing, Night Time Snakes, Eye Shine, Owls, and more. Parking for the event will be at the Nature Center, but campers will be asked to park at their site and walk to the trail access that is in the Taylor Ridge campground. This trail will be great for all members of the family and strollers are welcome.

Thanks for your understanding as we navigate these challenging times. We are working to create a safe environment for all guests as well as our staff and really hope this becomes a new tradition.
