Important Note: All fall festivals and events across DNR are being held using the State's COVID-19 guidance and precautions, including social distancing, sanitation procedures, safe food service and masks required where applicable. Weekend festivals and individual activities are always SUBJECT TO CHANGE based on the monitoring and management of COVID-19 in the State.

All activities will take place at the large white State Park tents in Section A of the modern campground.  These events will only be open to those camping with us this weekend.  Ensure you have current vehicle hang tags present in your vehicle to be permitted entrance into the campground.

Friday:  5:30 -9:00p.m. Register for campsite decorating contest and pumpkin carving/decorating contests.  Zombie Hunting Licenses will be sold and the hunt can begin for your friends and family. 
5:30 - 9:00p.m. Pumpkins - pick up a pumpkin or two for the carving and decorating contests. All sales from the pumpkins will go to support our educational ambassador birds of prey.
7:30p.m. Bats of Patoka - Discover which bats call the Patoka Lake area home and where you are most likely to see them.  Find out where they spend their summer months and the winter.  Learn which species are endangered.  Hear how they are beneficial to humans and how you can help them!

Saturday: 10:00a.m. - 1:15p.m. Register for pumpkin carving and decorating contest.
10:00a.m. -2:50p.m. Register for campsite decorating contest.
10:00a.m. -5:00p.m. Zombie Hunting Licenses will be sold and the hunt can begin for your friends and family.
Pumpkin Wagon - pick up a pumpkin or two for the carving and decorating contests. Grab a pumpkin to take home and decorate around your house!  All sales from the pumpkins will go to support our educational ambassador birds of prey.              

10:00a.m. – 1:30p.m.
Pumpkin Carving/Decorating Contest -Bring your pumpkin and carving tools or carve ‘em up on Friday night and bring 'em to the tent for judging on Saturday! Pumpkins and carving kits will be sold while supplies last.

10:30a.m. – 1:00p.m. Tie-dyed T-shirts: Bring pre-washed white 100% cotton T-shirts to decorate.

1:30p.m. Pumpkin Judging begins.  Winners will be announced immediately and must be present to win! Take your pumpkins with you after the contest concludes.

2:00p.m. Register your pup for the pet parade and costume contest. Parade starts at 2:30p.m.
​Pet Parade & Costume Contest
- Bring your dogs on leash and in costumes to the State Park tents in campground Section A.  A special Grand Marshall will lead the parade! Pet costume contest to follow. Contest winners will be announced directly following the parade.

3:00p.m. Campsite Judging- Judges will visit all registered campsites to select first place winners for three themes:  Scariest, Most Original, Best Fall Theme. Prizes will be delivered to your campsite!

*********** 5:30 – 7:00p.m. Trick or Treat - Campers 12 years of age and under may go around the modern campgrounds. There will be no vehicle traffic in the campground during this time for the safety of your children!  ***********
