Autumn Camping Weekend I, Mississinewa Lake

Event Description:

Important Note: All fall festivals and events across DNR are being held using the State’s COVID-19 guidance and precautions, including social distancing, sanitation procedures, safe food service and masks required where applicable. Weekend festivals and individual activities are always SUBJECT TO CHANGE based on the monitoring and management of COVID-19 in the State.


Friday, October 2
  

6:30-8:30 p.m. Welcome! Step Into Mississinewa Lake Challenge Begins. Stop in for information and a bag of kettle corn. Please notice signs for social distancing and keep a face mask with you this weekend.

Saturday, October 3

9-10:30 a.m.  Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser by Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services.  Donations appreciated.

11:30–3 p.m. Step into Mississinewa Lake Challenge. Follow the map at any time during the weekend to complete the activities or borrow our equipment 11:30 to 3 p.m. Make a hiking stick $2.

Noon Cornhole Tournament. Register beginning at 11:45 at the tents by the campground gate house. Double elimination. $5 per person entry.

4:30 p.m. Trick-or-Treat. Campers only. 

We have not made final decisions regarding trick-or-treating events at Indiana State Parks for the fall of 2020. If permitted, trick-or-treating will be for campers and other overnight guests only and will be in compliance with any State and local COVID-19 guidelines.  Weekend festivals and individual activities are always SUBJECT TO CHANGE based on the monitoring and management of COVID-19 in the State.

7:00 p.m.  Silent Auction Awards. At Interpretive Program Shelter. Last chance to turn in your Challenge sheet for a prize.

9:30 p.m. Campsite Decorating Awards at individual sites.
