Indianapolis  Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann has awarded a $40,000 planning grant to the town of Grandview for a water and wastewater plan through the states Office of Community and Rural Affairs.  

We are pleased to support the planning grant to begin the process of addressing the wastewater issues experienced by the town of Grandview, said Lt. Governor Ellspermann.  By taking this step, Grandview is on the path to improving quality of life and opportunities for growth.

Planning grants are an important first step as communities look for ways to improve their basic infrastructure, said Lt. Governor Ellspermann.  We are pleased to be able to support the grant request from the town of Waynetown as it continues its efforts to improve services for residents.  

The planning grant for the town of Waynetown will be used to proactively complete projects to sustain the water utility and provide adequate storm water drainage for residents.

The funding comes from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which has proven to be an effective tool for community-based planning and research initiatives. The CDBG program is administered by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

      <description><![CDATA[Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann Awards a 
$40,000 Planning Grant to the Town of Eaton 


Indianapolis  Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann has awarded a $40,000 planning grant to the town of Eaton for a sewer and storm water improvements study through the states Office of Community and Rural Affairs.  

Improving infrastructure is one way communities can attract new business, said Lt. Governor Ellspermann.  The town of Eaton has taken an important step on the path to economic growth, and we are pleased to support the grant request. 

The planning grant for the town of Eaton will outline alternatives to correct combined sewer overflow issues in an effort to comply with the Agreed Order issued by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management for untreated combined sewer overflow discharges into the Mississinewa River.

The funding comes from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which has proven to be an effective tool for community-based planning and research initiatives. The CDBG program is administered by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
