Sullivan County—At 10:10 this morning, Indiana State Police and Sullivan County emergency agencies responded to a three vehicle crash on US 41 at State Road 58 in Carlisle. The crash injured one driver and resulted in the issuance of a traffic citation to another.

Preliminary investigation revealed a white 2010 Ford F150 pickup driven by 30-year-old Eden Bault of Odon, Indiana was westbound on SR 58 and drove into the path of a southbound on US 41 silver, 2003, Saturn driven by 64-year-old Cary Dohner. The broadside impact then forced the Bault vehicle into a red, 1969 Chevy C 50 grain truck driven by Clifford Orr, age 27, of Carlisle, IN. Orr was eastbound on SR 58 waiting to cross US 41.

Dohner was transported to Sullivan County Community Hospital for treatment of hip and internal pain. Bault was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way. Seatbelts were worn by all drivers. Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.

The crash was investigated by ISP Trooper B. J. Patterson. Assisting were the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Sullivan County EMS, Haddon Township Fire/Rescue, and the Carlisle Town Marshal’s Office.
