Entry Description
Signal to go live at State Road 57 and Boonville/New Harmony Road
EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that starting today the new traffic signal at State Road 57 (S.R. 57) and Boonville/New Harmony Road will be activated.
Currently the signal is flashing amber for traffic on S.R. 57 and flashing red for traffic on Boonville/New Harmony Road. This acts as a warning to motorists that traffic patterns will change at the intersection. The signal will change to its full functioning status sometime the morning of Tuesday, October 9.
Motorists are urged to pay special attention while driving through this area as traffic becomes accustomed to the new signal.
INDOT encourages motorists to slow down and pay special attention while traveling in work zones throughout Indiana. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot and www.trafficwise.in.gov .
