[INDOT] Overnight Ramp Closures on West Side at I-465 & I-74

Wednesday Night Ramp Closures
On West Side at I-465 & I-74

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors plan to close two ramps Wednesday night at the I-465 and I-74 interchange with US 136 and Crawfordsville Road.

Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor, will restrict both the southbound I-465 and the eastbound I-74 exit ramps to US 136 and Crawfordsville Road beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 3.  Walsh will pave the surface layer of asphalt during the overnight operation, and both ramps are expected to reopen before 6 a.m. Thursday.

Both directions of I-465 between 21st and 34th Streets have three lanes shifted toward the median with one exit lane to the right as Walsh replaces temporary pavement with permanent concrete.  When the pavement replacement is complete, I-465 will be put in its permanent configuration with four lanes for through traffic and additional auxiliary and ramp lanes for traffic entering and exiting the interstate.
