Entry Description
Ten Indiana schools will get a visit from an Indiana Supreme Court Justice as winners of Courts in the Classroom’s statewide contest in celebration of Constitution Day.
Teachers from across the state were encouraged to briefly describe why they would like an Indiana Supreme Court Justice to visit their classroom. Recognizing that it is often difficult for teachers with shrinking resources to bring their students to Indianapolis, Chief Justice Brent Dickson and Associate Justices Steven David and Mark Massa volunteered to travel to the various schools on either Wednesday, September 19 or Friday, September 21, 2012.
The ten winning schools were selected from over 40 applicants. The schools chosen represent a broad range of learning communities and include high schools, junior highs, elementary schools, and an online academy.
