Celebrate Archaeology Month at Mounds State Park.  The event starts by showing off some special park artifacts in the campground at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6. Then, come to the Visitor Center front lawn anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8 to meet students from Ball State University, folks from the Upper White River Archeological Society and the Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology (DHPA).

They'll have great artifacts and stories to share. A hike to the Great Mound will leave at 1 p.m. on both days. There will be hands-on archeology activities and crafts for the kids.
