Starting in 1938, with the assistance of Eli Lilly, Angel Mounds became a proving ground not only for experimental archaeology but for the development and preservation of one of the best preserved Native American sites in North America.  Site Director Mike Linderman will discuss this development, starting with the initial reports on the site from the early 1800s up through today, and what the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites have in store for its future.
