[ISP] Meth Investigation Leads to Subject Wanted on Felony Warrant
Start Date: 8/21/2013Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Date: 8/21/2013End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description

Henry County – Last night (8/20) around 8:30 p.m. members of the Pendleton District Meth Suppression Squad arrested a woman at a home in rural Henry County wanted on a felony warrant out of Marion County. The arrest was the result of information troopers received while conducting a separate meth investigation.

Arrested at a home in the 9800 block of CR 350 N. was Shani Kissick, age 41, on a warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class "D" Felony. Officers had worked closely with the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office during the investigation and had obtained a search warrant for the residence to look for Kissick.

Further charges could be filed in this case pending review by the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office, as the investigation is ongoing. Troopers were assisted in the investigation by the Henry County Drug Task Force and the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office. Meth labs and those who use meth are often found as a result of an anonymous tip from a neighbor or friend.

Signs to look for Meth manufacturing are a strong ammonia or solvent smell like an auto body shop. Look for rubber tubing, ether or camp fuel cans, plastic bottles with white residue, Pseudoephedrine packages, lithium battery casings, and propane tanks with a blue or green discoloration around the valve.

Anyone with information about illegal drug use may call the Pendleton Post at 1-800-527-4752, or the Indiana State Police Drug Tip Line at 1-800-453-4756. Tips can be made and kept anonymous. The Indiana Meth Investigation System or IMIS, can also take tips on meth labs. Just go to and click on the “Report Suspected Meth Activity” Link.
