Since September of 1996, Culler has been a member of the Emergency Response Team, commonly referred to as “SWAT”, and has been the North Team’s leader since October of 2007. He also serves as a Department firearms instructor and was at one time, the Fort Wayne District’s Domestic Cannabis Eradication Coordinator. Culler, his wife Sarah and daughter Giada are residents of rural Kendallville.

Teusch, a 1990 graduate of Huntington North High School, attended both Indiana State University and Vincennes University where, in 1992, he earned his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. He was employed as a Sergeant for the Indiana Department of Corrections at the former Northeast Juvenile Correctional Facility in Allen County for five years before being accepted to the 62nd Indiana State Police Recruit Academy.

On December 27, 2001, Teusch was appointed as a Trooper and assigned to the Fort Wayne Post where he was assigned patrol duties in both Adams and Wells Counties. Following the closing of the Redkey Post in November of 2010, he assumed patrol duties in both Blackford and Jay Counties in addition to his original assignment.

Teusch has served the Department as a member of the Tactical Intervention Platoon, as a Field Training Officer, as a member of both State and District Interdiction Teams and as a member of the OWI “Wolfpack” at the Fort Wayne Post. He has been recognized by the Drug and Alcohol Consortium of Allen County for his OWI enforcement efforts and was twice honored as the Wells County Officer of the Year.
