[ISP] Bourbon Resident Arrested on Drug Charges in Rochester
Start Date: 8/17/2013Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Date: 8/17/2013End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description

Rochester – Thursday afternoon, a traffic stop by Indiana State Trooper Ben Reason lead to the arrest of Aubree Roahrig, 34, Bourbon, IN. Roahrig was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail to face two felony charges for possession of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school. She also faces a misdemeanor count for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Trooper Reason stopped the 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup truck that Roahrig was allegedly driving near 9th and Park Streets in Rochester, IN. Reason stopped the truck for suspicion that Roahrig was driving while having a suspended operators license. Further investigation revealed that Roahrig did have a suspended license at the time of the stop. Reason impounded the Dodge truck due to Roahrig not being a licensed driver and she had pulled into the street entrance of a local business, blocking access.

As required by Indiana State Police policy, Reason inventoried the contents of the Dodge before towing it from the scene. During the inventory, Reason allegedly found methamphetamine, hydrocodone, dextroamphetamine, and alpramazole. The controlled substances were not prescribed to Roahrig.

The location of the traffic stop was approximately 254 feet from the local Head Start building. It is considered a school by Indiana code as it relates to the enhancement of drug charges.

Trooper Reason was assisted by Rochester Police Corporal Ed Haines, Rochester Police Officer Tadd Hettinger, and Rochester Police Officer Steve Coleman.
