[DCS} DCS Appoints Lee Ann Sones Director in Fulton County

ROCHESTER, INDIANA (July 8, 2013)The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Lee Ann Sones has been appointed local director of the Fulton County office of DCS. In her new role, Lee will set goals and objectives for child welfare management, helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, she will oversee a team of 10, including a supervisor, family case managers and clerical staff. She will also handle general office operations. 


“We’re pleased to bring Lee onto our Fulton County team,” said Dave Judkins, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “Her job experience, psychology background and leadership qualities are the perfect mix for helping families in her county.”


Born in LaPorte, Indiana Lee completed high school in Michigan City. Before joining DCS’ Elkhart County office as a supervisor in 2007, Lee worked in the mental health field as a supported employment specialist for a community mental health center in Michigan. She later worked at Memorial Hospital in South Bend as a social concerns educator in the hospital’s family practice residency program. After that, she served as a probation officer and director of the elementary school truancy prevention program at the CASIE Center in South Bend. Lee has a psychology degree from Indiana University at South Bend.
