[IDEM] Qualified Drug Lab Inspector Training (318 IAC 1)

Entry Description
Location: Indiana Government Center South, Conference Center Room A, 302 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.

Persons wishing to assess or cleanup properties that are contaminated as result of clandestine drug manufacturing must be listed as a Qualified Inspector. This training session will satisfy one of the four criteria for listing as per 318 IAC 1-4-2(d).


In five hours of instruction, this class will cover:

  1. Introduction to methamphetamine and overview of the problem (F/Sgt Niki Crawford, ISP)
  2. Review of property insurance and applicable case-law (Tonya Bond, Esq., Plews Shadley and Rachel Braun, IDOC)
  3. Overview of the IDEM meth rule 318 IAC 1 (Scott Frosch, IDEM)
  4. Safety and Health concerns during assessment and cleanup (Rick Roudebush, IDEM)
  5. Wipe sampling for methamphetamine residue (Jason Murdoch, IDEM)
