Entry Description
ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that due to inclement weather on Wednesday night, June 12, nighttime restrictions on I-69 for bridge maintenance have been rescheduled to begin Thursday evening, June 13.

I-69 will be intermittently restricted during nighttime hours between Exit 302 (US 24) and Exit 309 (US 30/US 33), starting Thursday, June 13, weather permitting. INDOT will be performing proactive maintenance work on the bridges over the Norfolk Southern Railroad and CSX Railroad just north of Exit 305 (SR 14), as well as on the bridge over US 24, at Exit 302.

On Thursday evening, June 13, beginning at 9 p.m., northbound I-69 is scheduled for restriction starting ½ mile north of Exit 305. On-ramp lane traffic from westbound SR 14 to northbound I-69 will use the shoulder until merging with I-69 traffic north of the bridge over the CSX Railroad. There is a 12-foot width limit in this lane. Northbound I-69 thru traffic will use the far left lane during this restriction. A mandatory 45 mph speed limit will be in force. The work is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. on Friday, June 14, weather permitting.

On Friday evening, June 14, beginning at 9 p.m., southbound I-69 will be intermittently restricted north of Exit 305. Speed restrictions of 45 mph will be in force. The work is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, weather permitting.

On Monday evening, June 17, beginning at 9 p.m., I-69 in both directions will have intermittent lane restrictions at Exit 302, on the bridge over US 24. Speed restrictions of 45 mph will be in force. The work is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, weather permitting.

Motorists should be aware of traffic controls including barrels, cones and arrow boards while the work is in progress.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, visit www.in.gov/indot.
