Entry Description
Fairs, Festivals and Fun

School is out, the weather is beginning to really feel like summer and there is a lot to do in Noblesville and Hamilton County. Again and again communities in our area have won awards for being a great place to live, and one of those reasons is the quality of life that surrounds us. There are so many activities that our Parks Departments sponsor with our cities and towns, service clubs and other local organizations. They include music, arts, athletics, history and fireworks just to name a few. With the high cost of gas, many families are planning on staying home, and I encourage everyone in the community to participate in some upcoming local events. The whole family will have fun and enjoy going to any of the following festivals, fairs and activities:
Fishers Freedom Festival at Roy Holland Memorial Park, June 29 & 30 – /> In addition to all the festivals is the music that can be heard nearly every night of the week. If you are in Noblesville, every Thursday at Dillon and Forest Parks is a great time, plus concerts once a month on Friday and Saturday are held downtown. The new amphitheater off Municipal Drive in Fishers has live music Tuesdays and Fridays. Friday nights at Cool Creek Park in Westfield is also a blast, and on scheduled Sundays at either Red Bridge Park or Hamilton North Library in Cicero, there are shows.

You can’t see a show without getting some food to enjoy the music, so don't forget to check out the various farmers’ markets filled with fresh produce, yummy snacks and homemade crafts.  Please visit local websites for days, times and locations.

Lastly, the above activities don't include all the wonderful parks we have in each community with pools and water attractions, playgrounds, ball fields, great areas for a picnic and trails for a walk or bike ride.

These are just a portion of all the activities that will be happening this summer. Be sure to mark your calendar, so you aren’t missing out on the festivities. I hope to see a lot of familiar faces out and about this summer, in addition to meeting some new folks enjoying what our community has to offer. I have to say I am extremely biased when it comes to Noblesville and all the communities in Hamilton County, but I don't want you to miss a thing. Stay cool, be safe and have a great time this summer!
