College & Career Fair at New Prairie High School


New Prairie High School will hold a College and Career Readiness fair on April 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium/cafeteria. All grade levels from 9 to 12 are welcome to attend. Even if you are not interested in attending college, other professional opportunities will be represented to help prepare you for life after high school.

Colleges represented include: Ancilla College, Black Hawk College, Brown Mackie, Calumet College, Goshen College, Holy Cross College – ND, ITT Technical Institute, IUSB, Ivy Tech – South Bend/Michigan City, Lake Michigan College, Lincoln Technical Institute, Manchester College, National College, PNC, Saint Joseph College, Southwestern Michigan College, St. Mary’s of Notre Dame, Valparaiso University and Vincennes University.

Professional careers represented: La Porte County Sheriff’s Department, La Porte County Forensics, IU Health La Porte Hospital, New Carlisle Fire/EMS, Radiation Therapy-Indiana University Northwest, respiratory therapy – Ivy Tech South Bend, vocation trades represented, Cosmetology – Prestige College of Beauty, Electrical Joint Apprenticeship, La Porte County Career and Technical Education Center.

Military branches represented: Army, Coast Guard and Marines.

Opportunities will be made available to speak to representatives from each college or career in which you may be interested.

Also, information about SAT and ACT testing, AP/dual credit information, and financial aid will be provided.
