[IEDC] Direct Mail Marketing Company Expanding in Clark County
Start Date: 4/24/2013 All Day
End Date: 4/24/2013
Entry Description

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (April 24, 2013) – Accentf(x) LLC, an integrated database marketing company, announced plans today to expand its direct mail operations here, creating up to 35 new jobs by 2016.

The homegrown-Hoosier company will invest $720,000 to lease and equip a 20,000 square-foot facility at 4600 New Middle Road in Jeffersonville. As part of the expansion, which is expected to be completed by 2014, Accentf(x) will add additional lettershop equipment to its existing print and fulfillment center.

“Accenf(x)’s growth in Indiana is further validation of the confidence companies have in our prosperous business climate,” said Eric Doden, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “We know these jobs could have gone anywhere, but once again our low-tax policies and talented workforce made Indiana stand out as a state that works for business.”

Accentf(x), which currently has 26 full-time employees in Jeffersonville, has already begun hiring additional data entry associates and lettershop operators.

“Our experience working in southern Indiana for nearly a decade has been extremely positive and beneficial,” said Patrick Scheen, chief executive officer of Accentf(x). “Our anticipated growth in the coming years coupled with the strong and readily available labor pool weighed heavily in our decision to retain our direct mail facility in Indiana. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with the IEDC and One Southern Indiana while also forging a prosperous new partnership with the community.”

A spin off from Jeffersonville-based ACCENT Marketing Services, Accentf(x) uses data-driven analytics to provide direct marketing campaigns and strategies for the manufacturing, retail, financial and insurance industries. The company produces approximately two million pieces of direct mail content per week in addition to supporting online and email marketing activities designed to drive consumer response.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Accentf(x) LLC up to $225,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Jeffersonville will consider additional tax abatement at the request of One Southern Indiana.

“We are pleased Accentf(x) will employ these Hoosier workers in Jeffersonville,” said Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore. “This is further proof of our city’s eagerness to not just attract new business but to retain and grow business as well.”

Accentf(x) is the latest company to make plans to grow in southeast Indiana. Recently, The Standard Register Company, Ronaldo Designer Jewelry, PMG Indiana, Uni-Ref and Hitachi Powdered Metals also announced plans to expand operations in the region, accounting for more than 600 projected new jobs and more than $76 million in capital investment.

About IEDC
Created in 2005 to replace the former Department of Commerce, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation is governed by a 12-member board chaired by Governor Mike Pence. Victor Smith serves as the Indiana Secretary of Commerce and Eric Doden is the president of the IEDC.

The IEDC oversees programs enacted by the General Assembly including tax credits, workforce training grants and public infrastructure assistance. All tax credits are performance-based. Therefore, companies must first invest in Indiana through job creation or capital investment before incentives are paid. A company who does not meet its full projections only receives a percentage of the incentives proportional to its actual investment. For more information about IEDC, visit www.iedc.in.gov.
