[s15] Sen. Wyss Welcomes Local Students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April 11, 2013) – State Sen. Tom Wyss (R-Fort Wayne) recently welcomed the following students to the Statehouse to serve as Senate pages:

  • Ethan Anderson, a homeschool student from Fort Wayne.
  • Jonas Anderson, a homeschool student from Fort Wayne.
  • Betsy Bleed, from Fort Wayne, attends Carroll High School.
  • Marta Bleed, from Fort Wayne, attends Blackhawk Christian School.
  • Jaydrian Clouse, from Albion, attends Churubusco Jr.-Sr. High School.
  • Cameron Crick, from LaOtto, attends Churubusco Jr.-Sr. High School.
  • Dylan Fortney, from Fort Wayne, attends Carroll Middle School.
  • Josiah Hapner, a homeschool student from Fort Wayne.
  • Chloe Hazelett, a homeschool student from Fort Wayne.
  • Paige Hazelett, from Fort Wayne, attends New American Conservatory.
  • Jared Schmucker, from Fort Wayne, attends Northrop High School.
  • Daniel Taylor, from Leo, attends Leo Jr.-Sr. High School.
  • Kalvin Ward, from Fort Wayne, attends Northrop High School.
  • Elizabeth Winters, from Fort Wayne, attends Wayne New Tech Academy.
  • Sophia Yilmaz, from Greenwood, attends Greenwood Middle School.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse, touring the historic building, observing debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.

“I enjoy having the opportunity to meet so many students who are interested in state government,” Wyss said. “My hope is that more students in the future take advantage of this opportunity to become involved with Indiana’s legislative work.”
