[DCS] DCS Appoints Nancy Lambring Director in Clark County

JEFFERSONVILLE, IND. (March 25, 2013)The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Nancy Lambring has been appointed local director of the Clark County office of DCS. In her new role Nancy will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, she’ll oversee a team of 40 that includes supervisors, family case managers and clerical staff. She’ll also handle general office operations. 


“Nancy brings a wealth of experience with her and we’re pleased to have her take the reins for Clark County,” said Dave Judkins, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “Her practical job experience as both a family case manager and a supervisor will serve her well as she continues to help families in her county.”


A life-long Hoosier, Nancy was born in Indianapolis and grew up in Indianapolis and Columbus. A Purdue University graduate, her first job in child welfare was as a caseworker in Jackson County. She was promoted to supervisor in that county in 1989 and in 1999 she became the southeast region child welfare consultant. In 2006 she became director of the Washington County DCS office and in 2011 she returned to Jackson County as director.


Nancy began her new duties March 11.
