[ISP] Tip Leads to Wanted Person and Meth in Scott County

Entry Description

Austin-At approximately 3:15 pm on today’s date, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg and a probation officer from the Scott County Probation Department acted on an anonymous tip phoned into the Indiana State Police that a person who was on probation and wanted on an arrest warrant through Scott County was hiding at 1050 Church Street in Austin.

Troopers and the probation officer did a search at the residence and located Larry E. Huff, 38, from Austin, IN, in the home. Larry E. Huff was wanted for Failure to Appear for Court in Scott County and was taken into custody. While doing the search for Larry E. Huff officers also located Methamphetamine. Jennifer M. Spellman, 28, a resident of the home, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Under Three Grams, C Felony. Both subjects were incarcerated at the Scott County Jail.

All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
