Entry Description
Vermillion County—This morning at 11:00, Indiana State Police Troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Lab Enforcement Team arrested a Blanford man on various methamphetamine related charges:
Arrested: Robert Marietta, age 21, of 3185 Muir Street, Blanford, IN.
Charges: Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Class B felony; Possession of Methamphetamine,
Class D felony; Dumping Controlled Waste, D felony; Maintaining a Common Nuisance,
D felony; Possession of Paraphernalia, A misdemeanor; and Possession of Synthetic
Drug, Class A misdemeanor.
Jailed: Vermillion County with bond set at $69,000
Troopers arrived at the Marietta residence after receiving tips and utilizing other investigative leads. Once at the residence, the team located an active “one-pot” reaction vessel. A search of the residence led troopers to various items commonly used in the manufacture and use of methamphetamine. A small amount of material, believed to be a synthetic drug, was seized and sent to the ISP laboratory for analysis. No finished methamphetamine product was found because the process was still in the chemical reaction phase.
ISP troopers working the case were Shilo Raulston, Brent Robinson, and Mike Wood. Assisting was the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office.
Citizens are urged to report meth related activity to the ISP Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114. All tips can remain anonymous and all information will be investigated. The Putnamville Post is responsible for Parke, Vermillion, Putnam, Vigo, Clay, and Sullivan counties.
Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. |
