Magnetation, LLC is seeking a permit from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s (IDEM’s) Office of Air Quality for the construction and operation of a new iron ore pelletizing plant in Reynolds, Indiana. As part of the public participation process, IDEM will be holding an informational meeting and formal public hearing Wednesday evening at the former Reynolds Elementary School, 401 W. 2nd Street, in Reynolds.
During the meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. (local time), staff members from IDEM’s air permitting branch will present general information and answer questions from the public about the proposed facility and permit. IDEM will begin a formal public hearing at 7:30 p.m. (local time), at which time it will accept oral and written comments from the public.
Individuals unable to attend the hearing may submit written comments via mail, e-mail, fax or hand-delivery to IDEM through Monday, March 25, 2013. Comments should refer to permit number 181-32081-00054.

The public can download the draft air permit using the Online Air Permit Search on the IDEM website at www.idem.IN.gov or see a copy at these locations:
• Monticello Union Township Library, 321 West Broadway Street, Monticello, Ind.
• IDEM's Central File Room, 12th floor of the Indiana Government Center North building, 100 North Senate Avenue, Indianapolis. To ensure a copy is available upon arrival, individuals should contact Central File Room staff at (317) 232-8667 beforehand to make arrangements. The IDEM Central File Room is open Monday through Friday, excluding official holidays, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (local time).
IDEM will consider all written comments submitted during the public comment period before making its final decision.
