Entry Description
Gas City – Saturday, at approximately 10:40 a.m., officers from the Gas City Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a possible death at 107 E. North A Street, Gas City, IN. Upon entering the house, officers found the body of Ashley Rheam, 28. Evidence at the scene suggested Rheam was murdered.
Sunday, at approximately 10:00 a.m., an autopsy was conducted at the Northeast Forensics Center in Ft. Wayne. The pathologist determined that Rheam died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives from the Indiana State Police Peru Post have arrested Tyrell Lenoir, 23, Marion, IN, and Matthew Tyra, 17, also of Marion, IN. They each face a single count of murder and a felony count of robbery. Tyra is incarcerated in the Grant County Detention Center. Lenoir is incarcerated in the Grant County Jail. They are both being held without bond. It is alleged that Rheam was killed during a robbery at her home.
