[DNR] Raptor Day at Charlestown State Park, April 13

Entry Description
Discover the wonders of birds of prey and bird watching at Charlestown State Park during Raptor Day, April 13.
 
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Hardy Lake Raptor Rehab Center will present live bird programs and have several of its birds on-hand for visitors to see up-close at the Clark Shelter House (near Trail 2). Naturalists/birders will have telescopes set up for observing birds in their native habitat and offer "non-live" raptor programs.

Children’s activities will include coloring, dissecting owl pellets, creating bird-related crafts and more. Guests are invited to bring a picnic lunch and make a day of the event.
 
The event is free, although the standard gate fees of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 per vehicle for non-residents will apply.

Charlestown State Park is located at 12500 State Road 52, Charlestown, 47111.
