Entry Description
Greens Fork – Earlier today the Pendleton Post received information a subject wanted for car theft might be in Wayne County in the Greens Fork area. Shortly before 10 p.m. Trooper Thomas Ratliff saw a vehicle west bound on SR 38 in Greens Fork that fit the description of the stolen vehicle, a green 1994 Mercury minivan.
When he attempted to stop the vehicle it turned around and fled east refusing to stop. The van turned south on US 35, but as a Richmond Police Department car approached, the van turned around and fled north with Ratliff and Richmond close behind.
The van then turned back west on SR 38 and the driver lost control at Hillcrest Road and spun off the road. The driver was taken into custody without further incident. The van, which was not damaged, was to be released back to the owner.
Arrested was Francisco Pimentel, age 48, of Muncie. He was charged with Resisting Law Enforcement Fleeing, Class “D” Felony, Possession of Stolen Property, Class “D” Felony, and Operating While Never Receiving a License, Class “C” Misdemeanor. He was lodged in the Wayne County Jail.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. |
