US 136 will Close Tuesday east of New Ross
Bridge replacement project closing roadway for 120 days
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces US 136 (US 136) will close on or after Tuesday, March 19 for a bridge replacement project east of New Ross. The 120 day closure is for replacing the bridge over Raccoon Creek and the road is expected to reopen in July of this year.
Duncan Robertson, Inc. was awarded the $783,283 contract. The completion date for this project is August 2, 2013.
The detour follows US 136 westbound to State Road 32 eastbound to I-74 eastbound to State Road 75 southbound and back to US 136. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.
