[INDOT] SR 5 Lane Restriction on J.E. Roush Dam Scheduled for Wednesday, March 20

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces a SR 5 lane restriction on the J.E. Roush Dam, between W. Division Road and Waterworks Road, southeast of Huntington, beginning Monday, March 18, weather permitting. The southbound lane of SR 5 will be closed as the Army Corps of Engineers performs contract maintenance on the dam gates under permit by INDOT.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane in alternating directions, controlled by temporary traffic signals, as the work is performed. Work is scheduled to be complete by early August 2013.

As the contractor installs the temporary signals and pavement markings prior to the work, SR 5 may have temporary lane restrictions during daytime hours, under the direction of flaggers. Drivers should be prepared for slowed and stopped traffic.
