Sullivan County---After an ongoing investigation by the newly formed Putnamville District Meth Lab Enforcement Team, a Shelburn man has been arrested on methamphetamine related charges and incarcerated in the Sullivan County Jail. He is the second person arrested by the team in the last two days.

Arrested: John B. Parsons, age 56, of Shelburn, Indiana
Charges: Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Class B felony; Possession of Precursors,
Class D felony; Possession of Pseudoephedrine (over 10 grams) Class D felony;
Illegal Dumping of Controlled Waste, Class D felony; Maintaining a Common
Nuisance, Class D felony; and Possession/Storage of Anhydrous in Unapproved
Container, Class D felony.

Bond: $66,000

Troopers arrived at Parsons’ residence at 2809 East County Road 575 North, Shelburn at 5:05 this evening and discovered items commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine present in the residence.

Troopers investigating this case were Shilo Raulston, Brent Robinson, Mike Wood and B.J. Patterson.

The Putnamville District is fiercely committed to reducing the production of methamphetamine and the crimes that are normally associated with it.
