Frankfort-This morning at approximately 12:20 a.m. at 307 West First Street apartment number one in Frankfort, IN, the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of three suspects.

Concluding an on-going investigation, troopers arrived at the location and were met at the door by the resident, Danny L. Burton, 58 years old. The troopers noticed a strong chemical odor known to be precursors in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

For safety, Burton along with Shawn I. Burton, 33 years old (who also lived at the residence) and Rodrick F. Smith, 44 years old from Frankfort, were escorted out of the house. The suspects were detained in the lobby of the Clinton County jail until a determination could be made whether charges would be brought against the three men.

Troopers conferred with the Clinton County Prosecutor Tony Sommer and it was determined probable cause existed for a search warrant. Troopers went back to the residence and conducted a search which yielded methamphetamine along with precursors to manufacture meth. All three suspects were charged with Manufacturing of Methamphetamine a Class B Felony and incarcerated in the Clinton County Jail.
