[SUPREME] St. Joseph County Judicial Applicant Interviews Monday

Entry Description

On March 18th, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. the St. Joseph Superior Court Judicial Nominating Commission will conduct interviews of the applicants for the St. Joseph Superior Court. The interviews will take place in the conference room of the St. Joseph County Commissioners on the 7th Floor of the St. Joseph County-City Building.

A vacancy on the St. Joseph Superior Court will occur on June 3, 2013, when Judge Michael P. Scopelitis retires. Under state law, the Judicial Nominating Commission is required to nominate five candidates for appointment to the St. Joseph Superior Court when a vacancy arises. The final appointment will be made by Governor Mike Pence.

The confidentiality of the applicants must be maintained in accordance with the provisions of Indiana Code §33-33-71-38; however, the interviews are open to the public.
