State Road 229 to Close in Ripley County
Bridge Replacement over Laughery Creek
BATESVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that beginning Thursday, March 21, State Road 229 (S.R. 229) in Ripley County will temporarily close.
S.R. 229 will be closed between S.R. 48 and S.R. 46 near Batesville in Ripley County. Sunesis Construction of Ohio was awarded the $503, 318.16 bridge replacement project over Laughery Creek. The roadway is expected to reopen to traffic in August, 2013. During the closure, no through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure.
