New Signal Modernizations for Five Locations

Work will consist of temporary lane closures

SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces five new signal modernization projects in the Seymour District.  Construction signs will be placed at all locations beginning Wednesday, March 6. The following locations are as follows:

 

Charlestown                                                       Sellersburg                                              Scottsburg

State Road 3 (S.R. 3) at Clark Road                      U.S. 31 at Utica Street                              S.R. 56 at Main Street                                                                

S.R. 3 at Denham Lane & Park Street

S.R. 3 at S.R. 62

 

Beginning on Monday, March 11, Martell Electric of South Bend, will start the $491,104.77 modernization project in Charlestown.  The project consists of new signals heads, cabinets, and other upgrades designated for each particular area.  Motorists will encounter temporary daylight lane closures in all locations.  The project will finish in Scottsburg, with completion scheduled for July, 2013.
