Entry Description Learn the art of needle tatting during a Feb. 20 workshop at Spring Mill State Park.
This form of tatting is on a needle instead of the shuttle, and is relatively easy to learn. Students will learn to create the double stitch that is basic to all tatted pieces and have a project or two completed before they leave. They will also learn to read patterns.
The program runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Elm Room of Spring Mill Inn. All supplies are provided as well as some easy tatting patterns. The workshop includes a buffet lunch at Spring Mill Inn’s Millstone dining room.
Only 15 spots are available, and advance registration is required by Feb. 17 by calling (812) 849-4081. Cost is $30 per person.
For more information, email springmillstatepark@dnr.IN.gov.
Spring Mill State Park is at 3333 State Road 60 East, Mitchell, 47446.
