Entry Description Children can learn how the beaks of ducks, owls, sparrows and other birds have become adapted to their eating habits during a program at the Bedford Public Library, Feb. 12.
Kids ages 7 to 12 are invited to stop by the library’s children’s department any time between 3 and 5 p.m.
The program will be presented by a naturalist from Monroe Lake. It coincides with Darwin Day, which recognizes the contributions that Charles Darwin made to modern biology. Darwin’s studies of finches and their varied beak shapes contributed to his theory of natural selection.
The library is at 1323 K Street.
For more information, call the Paynetown Activity Center at (812) 837-9967 or email jvance@dnr.IN.gov.
