Carter Road to Close in Western Monroe County
Closure to begin on or after February 25
GREENE COUNTY, Ind. –The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that beginning on or after Monday, February 25, Carter Road in western Monroe County will permanently close.
Contractor’s crews will close Carter Road for construction of the I-69 Corridor. No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure.
Carter Road will be closed at approximately 250-feet east of the Greene/Monroe County Line and at approximately 4,000-feet west of Breeden Road. Cul-de-sacs will be constructed at these termini through construction. Residents living to the east of the proposed closure will be able to access State Road 45 via Breeden and/or Burch Roads.
