| [ISP] Traffic Stop Nets Marijuana, Prescription Drugs and Synthetic Marijuana |

Entry Description Vanderburgh County – Saturday night, February 16, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Trooper Wes Alexander stopped the driver of a 2007 Ford van on U.S. 41 at Riverside Drive for having a defective license plate light. When Trooper Alexander approached the driver he detected a strong odor of marijuana. The driver was identified as Kyshaun Pegue, 19, of Evansville. During a search of the vehicle, Alexander found a backpack containing three different types of legend drugs and approximately two grams of what is believed to be synthetic marijuana. Troopers also found a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle. Pegue was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond. The investigation is continuing.

1. 3 Counts of Possession of a Legend Drug, Class D Felony
2. Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor
3. Possession of Synthetic Canabinoids
