Today Governor Mike Pence and Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann will join the Indiana kick off celebration of National FFA Week February 16-23, 2013. The Governor and Lt. Governor will meet for a brief meeting and photo opportunity with the Indiana FFA Officers and members for FFA Page Day on Monday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. at the Statehouse.

The Indiana FFA state officers and members will also be participating in the Indiana House Page Program and the Indiana Senate Page Program. This opportunity will allow them a first-hand view of the legislative process. Students will be paired with state legislators and will assist them with daily tasks during a full day of session.

The Indiana FFA Executive Leadership is housed under ISDA and the agricultural curriculum and education aspects are under the Department of Education. This arrangement allows agriculture teachers to have a direct link to ISDA.
