[DCS] DCS Appoints Jamie Pack Borgman Director in Decatur County

GREENSBURG, IND. (Feb. 13, 2013)The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Jamie Pack Borgman has been appointed local director of the Decatur Co. office of DCS.  In her new role Jamie will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect.  In addition, she’ll oversee a team of 12 that includes family case managers, supervisors and clerical staff.  She’ll also handle general office operations. 


“We’re pleased Jamie will be managing day-to-day operations in our Decatur County office,” said Dave Judkins, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations.  “She has spent her entire career helping children and her practical work experience as both a case manager and a supervisor will benefit families in her county for years to come.”


Born in Virginia, Jamie has a degree in family and child development from Virginia Tech.  She taught middle school in Roanoke, Virginia for five years before moving to Indiana in 2006 and taking a job with DCS.  Beginning as a family case manager at the Decatur office, she has worked as a supervisor in that office since 2008.


Jamie began her new duties January 13.
