[INDOT] I-69 and Union Chapel Interchange Contract Awarded

Entry Description
Allen County, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that the official tabulation of bids received has been approved for the new interchange on I-69, north of SR 1/Dupont Road, at Union Chapel Road. Brooks Construction of Fort Wayne was awarded the low bid of $13.9 million. Work includes construction of the new interchange that will feature a roundabout at each end of the new bridge over I-69, as well as signs and lights.

A pre-construction meeting has been tentatively scheduled for mid-February. The purpose of the pre-construction meeting is for the contractor, designer, utility representatives and INDOT to discuss the upcoming construction schedule and answer questions about the contract. Until the pre-construction meeting has been held, no information concerning the schedule will be available.
