Entry Description
TIER II BASIC TRAINING
Tier II Basic Course is required for all Town Marshals, Indiana Gaming Commission Police and Indiana Department of Correction Police. This course will be eight (8) weeks in length, with two (2) courses offered per year. The first week will be conducted online prior to attending the Academy. The forty (40) hours of online training must be completed and mailed to the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy before starting class on October 29, 2012. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from this class. Further information is included in your "Reporting Instructions" located on our website.
This Tier II Basic Course is a resident only course. Therefore, you will be required to be a resident and stay at the academy each weekly session.
You are required to obtain at least two (2) black polo shirts. The polo shirts can either be plain black or have your department logo on it.
