[ISP] Illinois Man Killed in I-70 Crash-UPDATE
Start Date: 12/6/2013Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Date: 12/6/2013End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description

Wayne County – At about 11:38 p.m. last night an Illinois man was killed when the car he was driving was struck by a semi tractor on I-70 at the 134 mile marker, three miles west of the Cambridge City exit. Troopers and emergency crews were at the scene for hours investigating the crash and removing the vehicles.

Preliminary investigation indicates the semi tractor, driven by Boota Signh, age 22, of Sacramento, California, was west bound in the right lane when the driver lost control. The area was receiving moderate snow fall at the time and I-70 was snow covered and slick.

The semi, which was pulling an unloaded flat bed trailer, traveled across the west bound lanes and across the median. The semi continued across the east bound lanes where it struck an east bound 1999 Nissan passenger car driven by Mohamed A. Isse, age 33, of Chicago IL.

Both vehicles came to rest off the south side of the interstate with the passenger car lodged under the trailer. The driver of the passenger car, Mohamed Isse, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner. The driver of the semi, Boota Signh, was uninjured.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Wayne and Henry County Sheriff’s Departments, the Cambridge City Fire Department, as well as Dublin Fire and EMS.
