About IEDC
Created by Governor Mitch Daniels in 2005 to replace the former Department of Commerce, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation is governed by a 12-member board chaired by Governor Daniels. Dan Hasler serves as the chief executive officer of the IEDC.

The IEDC oversees programs enacted by the General Assembly including tax credits, workforce training grants and public infrastructure assistance. All tax credits are performance-based. Therefore, companies must first invest in Indiana through job creation or capital investment before incentives are paid. A company who does not meet its full projections only receives a percentage of the incentives proportional to its actual investment. For more information about IEDC, visit

Company Quotes:
"Angie's List is excited to continue to expand its operations in the state of Indiana. While we have not made a final decision on a site for our growth, all of the Central Indiana locations we are considering benefit from the competitive state tax and business climate that continues to make Indiana a great place to grow our business," said Angie Hicks, chief marketing officer and co-founder of Angie's List.

"Atwood has seen tremendous growth the last few years, particularly in our recreational vehicle and specialty vehicle markets. The state of Indiana has been very supportive of Atwood's plans and we look forward to expanding our business in a state that has shown in recent years it is serious about attracting and keeping top notch businesses," said Tim Stephens, president of Atwood Mobile Products.

"BidPal is a very rapid growth company and is among the fastest and most successful start-ups in Indianapolis. In just four years the company has grown to employ 65 full-time Indiana employees and more than 400 part-time employees nationwide. Indiana's tech community continues to thrive and prosper with a foundation of key management teams that take the entrepreneurial ideas to that next level. Indiana's culture is great too! The schools in the state are among the top in the country and the students coming out have a lot more choices in the tech community to have a long withstanding career here," said Scott Webber, chairman and chief executive officer of BidPal.

"Thanks to the support and assistance we received from the state of Indiana, Allen County and the city of Fort Wayne, Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations is able to move forward with its plans to relocate to a larger manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne to produce its two brands of pontoon boats, Harris FloteBote and Cypress Cay. We have been manufacturing in northern Indiana for more than 50 years, and while the company hasn't yet determined where the new location will be, we have made a commitment to stay in this region," said Nick Stickler, president of Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations.

"Café Valley is based in Arizona. Our business has grown to the point of needing a physical presence to better serve the Midwestern and Eastern United States. We looked in three states and we are pleased to have found the right location in Marion. The state of Indiana, Grant County and the city of Marion all offer Café Valley the right partnership and shared values we look for in a host community. We're very excited to be part of the planned redevelopment of the Thompson site in Marion," said Ron Ogan, chief executive officer of Café Valley, Inc.

"Inventure Foods has been very fortunate with steady positive growth. Because of this growth we are investing back into one of our facilities. The Bluffton, Ind. facility is considered our flagship plant and we recognize the need for this investment for continued growth in attracting new business opportunities," said Ronald Lee, plant director for Inventure Foods in Bluffton.

"With the growing rate of automobiles being made and the Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency regulations in the United States, we felt it best to begin manufacturing our product line of turbochargers here in addition to overseas. Our current Franklin facility proved to be the best fit due to its skilled workforce, logistical location and its great working relationship with both state and local officials. We look forward to continuing to partner with the state of Indiana and city of Franklin," said Tetsuzo Ukai, president of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Climate Control, Inc.

"Remaining an Indiana company is important in maintaining a culture of Hoosier hospitality. On top of this, the superior talent pool and low tax structure enables us to achieve great success and keep dreaming for bigger and better things," said Scott Moorehead, president and chief executive officer of Moorehead Communications.

Local Official Quotes:
"Congratulations to Atwood on its consolidation and expansion projects in the city of Elkhart, city of Goshen and Elkhart County. Its commitment of new jobs and investment, speaks volumes about our community's resources for companies in the recreational vehicle and transportation industry sector," said Elkhart Mayor Dick Moore.

"Growth-oriented, high-tech companies do business in Indianapolis because of our stable, affordable economic environment and because we are a leader in the information technology industry. We are pleased ExactTarget and BidPal choose to invest in Indianapolis. These innovative firms strengthen our city's tech sector and create quality jobs for our talented workforce," said Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard.

"We are thrilled that our efforts to retain and help grow Brunswick in Allen County have paid off.  This win represents another example of an extraordinary partnership between Brunswick, Allen County, the city of Fort Wayne and the state of Indiana in recognizing that great companies like this help build great communities. We are excited at the prospects of Brunswick nearly doubling their workforce in our community and will continue to do everything possible to ensure their continued success," said Allen County Commissioner Nelson Peters.

"Not only are we excited about the jobs this project will bring, but about the redevelopment of Marion facilities such as the Thompson facility. We'll be taking a redevelopment project that's been in the works for nine years and transforming it into something amazing for the community. Instead of looking at the old Thompson site and saying 'Remember when,' the community will see it and think, 'Wow. We're moving forward.' This is a sweet deal for Marion," said Marion Mayor Wayne Seybold of Café Valley, Inc.'s project.

"Inventure Foods is one of our community's great corporate citizens. This expansion, made possible in large part by the IEDC's assistance, will provide jobs as well as stimulate our local economy. It is yet another example of how public and private investment can work together to help grow our economy," said Bluffton Mayor Ted Ellis.

"I am extremely enthusiastic about MCC's future in Franklin. Their addition to our community adds an additional solid job base. I look forward to their arrival and a strong relationship for many years to come," said Franklin Mayor Joe McGuinness.
