INDOT Announces Public Open House

I-65 Interchange at Worthsville Road

 

GREENWOOD – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will hold a public open house regarding a proposed new I-65 interchange at Worthsville Road in Johnson County.     

 

The open house is intended to introduce this proposed project to the community and more importantly, to receive public input, address questions, comments and concerns.   The open house will feature various project maps/displays, multiple information stations where INDOT project representatives will be available to explain project details and talk with project stakeholders individually in an informal setting.  

The purpose of this project is to enhance safety and to address traffic congestion within the corridor by proposing a new interchange be built at Worthsville Road and I-65.  The proposed interchange would also reduce traffic congestion at the existing interchanges at Main Street and at Whiteland Road. 

 

This open house will be held on Wednesday, December 12th, at the Clark-Pleasant Middle School located at 820 Worthsville Road in Greenwood.  Doors will open to the public at 5 p.m. and the community is encouraged to visit with project officials, view displays, and ask questions of the project team.
