My Christmas Wish List
Every year at this time, I try and put together a list of wishes for not only myself and the girls but a list of things that I hope Santa will bring for the whole community.
Over the years, Santa has been very good to my family and to our community, but that does not mean we cannot still make a wish list. Living and working in the greatest country in the world, we have so much to be thankful for. So here I go…
Dear Santa,
I wish that you protect all of our servicemen and women defending our country and democracy everywhere with peace and safety. This time of year is especially difficult on Hoosier families as they miss the company of their loved ones. Their selfless-courage and sacrifice can never be thanked enough, and I wish for a safe return home.
I wish that plenty of elves help Nancy Chance and the Good Samaritan Network to make Christmas a more joyful time for every Hoosier. I hope that they are able to provide food, clothes and toys to those that need it most. Those elves come from many places: the Noblesville Fire Department, Noblesville Police Department, local officials along with countless churches and other organizations. The whole community always bands together to make a difference in the lives of Hoosiers everywhere, and I could not be more thankful.
I wish for continued economic progress and success for our local businesses. They do so much to make this a very viable and vibrant community to live in and be a part of. I am confident that Indiana will continue to lead in this regard as more Hoosiers are able to find employment.
For all the kids, I wish for one special thing. I wish that they enjoy a fun and safe holiday break. All of you have worked so hard at your studies and have deserved this time off from school to be enjoyed with family and friends.
For the street and highway departments, I wish for only a snow flurry or two but not enough to require working over the Christmas holiday. I wish for the continued safety of Hoosier motorists travelling during the holidays and to be cautious of potentially dangerous road conditions.
This holiday season, I hope everyone has a chance to be with friends and family and share some good food and fellowship. This is to be a joyful time, so count your blessings and find some time to share some cheer – especially with those who might be lonely or struggling. It will make everyone’s day a little brighter.
Merry Christmas!
